Contributing to the Community

Habitat for Humanity pictureHanover Land Services, Inc., is proud to give back to the communities in which we work, routinely providing pro bono engineering and surveying services to benefit local civic and nonprofit organizations.

Company Service Projects

Following are a few of the projects that we have donated professional services for:

South Hanover Little League, Inc., Hanover, PA
HLS recently located property lines and corners at the Little League sports fields.

Carroll Lutheran School, Carroll County, MD
HLS prepared Site Plans for the construction of a new school building and several residential lots out of an existing farm. We later prepared the site plan for construction of the school’s outdoor science pavilion. A portion of our services were donated for each project.  Owner, Kristin Barmoy, served on the Board of Trustees for Carroll Lutheran School, Inc. as Secretary during the period when the school was constructed.

Manheim Township Recreation Park
HLS prepared erosion and sediment control plans and obtained plan approval so that the contractor could perform the earth-moving activities for construction of the Manheim Township’s new recreational park.

Habitat for Humanity – Carroll County, MD    York & Hanover, PA
HLS prepared subdivision plans for a Habitat for Humanity townhouse development located in downtown York, PA.  HLS also donated a portion of the surveying and engineering services required to prepare site plans and construction stakeout services for five townhomes recently construction in Westminster, MD.  Owner, Doug Barmoy, recently served on the Habitat for Humanity of  Carroll County Board of Directors as Vice President.  He was also part of the Executive and Construction committees in Carroll County.  Doug served on the Planning Committee for two Habitat projects in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Moul Field, Hanover, PA
HLS donated a portion of their professional Surveying and Engineering services for the design and construction of this project.

Francis Scott Key High School Athletic Fields,  Union Bridge, MD
HLS performed GPS surveys and provided a topographic plan for the FSK Athletic Boosters on the main athletic field and auxiliary fields to determine maintenance and grading needs.

First Presbyterian Church of Westminster, Westminster, MD
HLS performed GPS surveys and provided a plan to help eliminate drainage problems that were causing occasional flooding in the church building.
